The living room will reflect the character of the residents,as reflected in the vast space, the selection and arrangement offurniture and that is not not less important is the selection of  wallcolors.

Psychologically you will feel immediately 'at home' whenvisiting at someone's house when the living room quite spacious, and comfortable furniture arranged neatly  and color of the wallsprovide warmth, reflecting the owner was always open to anyonewho visited her home.

Selection of the wrong paint color or origin to taste can cause theatmosphere is not expected to be created.  Space can be seenmore narrow, crowded, or even gloomy.  For the negative effects of changing the color space that does not happen, do the initialplanning and prepare carefully. Although only slightly, in this casechange the wall paint can be fatal if we are the wrong choice.

For example, white color suitable for a small space, becausewhites have a psychological effect neutral. White color tends togive the impression of clean and wide. Similarly, the other plaincolor paint. In addition to not seem crowded,  the nuance is alsobeautiful. You can combine colors of the younger on one wall. Youcan also give emphasis on space, namely by presenting a strikingcolor.

As for colors more conservative and not a bold color, then choosesome variation of light and dark in the same color. For example,  choosing dark green and light green. The color type is called  monochromatic color.

Note the picture Color Wheel Color Wheel or below, which describes  the arrangement of colors. Colors that lie directly opposite  positions on the Color Wheel to one another is called complementary  colors. If the colors are placed side by side, it will increase the intensity of color or referred to as a bold color.
